CH20 Elbow Chair by Carl Hansen & Søn

An attractive and simple stackable dining chair designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1956. When Carl Hansen & Søn put the CH20 Elbow Chair into production for the first time in 2005, it quickly established itself as a modern classic, winning the ICFF Editors' Award in New York.

The Elbow Chair's signature steam-bent backrest, crafted from a single piece of solid wood, provides elbow and lower back support and enables a variety of sitting positions. The frame is available in either solid Beech or Oak in a variety of finishes.

Materials
Carl Hansen & Søn use premium quality timber for all their furniture: the design of the piece dictates which species of timbers are available.

Note on finishes
Oak and Ash both have a visible wood structure when painted, and are only available in Black (NCS S9000-N) with gloss 20.
Beech has minimal structure when painted and is available in colours selected by Carl Hansen & Søn. As a natural material, timber may vary in tone and pattern even within the same log.
