Eames Plastic Armchair RE DAW

The combination of the wooden base with the recycled plastic shell of the Dining Height Armchair Wood Base (DAW) produces a rich contrast of materials.

Now in fully recycled plastic
As of Spring 2024 the shells of the Eames Plastic Chairs are now made of recycled post-consumer plastic and the chair family will be known known as Eames Plastic Chair RE.
The high-quality recycled material is obtained through the 'Yellow Bag' (Gelber Sack) collection programme in Germany. Utilising this material generates fewer climate-damaging emissions, with a significant reduction in primary energy consumption.
Physical samples can always be viewed in store at haus®.

Materials
Seat shell in dyed-through, recycled polypropylene, 100% recyclable.
Note: due to the composition of the recycled material, the seat shell colours exhibit very subtle specks of pigment.

Wooden base in various shades of maple or honey-toned ash, stained and lacquered finish. Steel rod cross struts in basic dark. (DAW = Dining Height Armchair Wood Base)

Seat also available with a seat cushion (screwed to the seat shell) or fully upholstered.
Fully upholstered version has moulded polyurethane foam padding covered in fabric, attached to the shell with a welted edge.
